Please Donate To Loma Linda

Hi, you may or may not have heard about Loma Linda. It is a village in El Salvador with about 276 people. It is a poor village. They do not have medicine, electricity or stable houses. Their beds are made of rocks and clay. Their ovens are made out of clay, which makes for slow cooking. Their escuela, or school, is very far from where they live. They have to pay to go to school, and most people don't have the money. Those who do have to walk for miles and cross a river, which is very hard to do in the rainy season. It is also very dangerous because the current runs very fast. Sometimes children get swept away in the current. Their classrooms have over thirty kids in them. The villagers speak Spanish. They play in the river for fun. They have a rock waterslide. They also play soccer for fun. They have a soccer ball, but it isn't very good. Our school class made candles and crafts and sold them to raise money for them. Now, they have a new ball and jerseys and they got to verse another village. This made them very happy. There are still lots of things they need. They really need a hospital and clothes and better houses. They need a bridge built to cross the river so they can safely get to school. So please make a donation. Any amount helps. You can really make a difference or even save a life. To learn more about this cause, please contact St. Alphonsus School in Winnipeg, MB in the Grade 3 class, or me, Kate! God Bless.
