The Real Reason Of Easter

Lent - me and my Mom decided to give up things we really love this Lent. My Mom gave up eating chocolate and I gave up drinking every kind of pop. Some people don't know why other people give things up during the forty days before Easter. We do this because this is the amount of time Jesus spent in the desert before he sacrificed himself for all of us. So when we give up something for Lent, it is to remind us of the sacrifice of Jesus. Easter is not about chocolate and bunnies and gifts. It is about love and life and sacrifice.
